FGEARS® Variable ND Filter provides real-time change of ND level from 0.6 to 2.4 stops so to let you take long exposure photos on waterfalls, clouds or other creative topics under bright situation.

How to use the FGEARS Variable ND Filters?

First of all mount the FGEARS Variable ND2-400 filter on your lens and locate the “Min” pointer and the small triangle on the turning ring. Then you can do composition and focus before adjusting the ND level by turning the rotating ring slowly. Please make sure the small triangle does not go beyond the “Max” marking to deliver the best result. If there are not sufficient light, your camera may not be able to focus. In this case you can tempararily lower the ND level by rotating the ring towards “Min” level to focus.

Why do you need a variable ND filter:

• To enable slow shutter speeds to be used under sunlight so to take photos with smooth movement such as waterfalls and clouds.
• To provide shallow depth of field by allowing wider apertures to be used under bright lights, especially taking portrait photos with aperture f/2.8 or even f/1.2
• To allow using wide aperture when taking videos under bright situation

FGEARS® Variable ND Filter are made with HD nano technology to maximize the image sharpness. You can get a clear photo even with a 500mm tele lens.

Anti-oil and Water Repellent Coating

All of our filters are equipped with advanced anti-oil and water repellent coating so to keep your filters in the best quality. This coating is extremely useful when taking photos of waterfalls and seasides. With anti-oil capability, finger print is hard to find on the filter surface in normal situation. As a result, frequent cleaning of the filter is not necessary.
